Dr. Sharma's treatment philosophy involves using an interdisciplinary approach and maximizing treatment with the least invasive measures possible to provide the best care for his patients. He has pain medicine and interventional spine training and incorporates techniques such as ultrasound-guided peripheral joint injections, intramuscular stimulation, facet joint injections, epidural steroid injections, trigger point injections, radiofrequency ablation, and PRP injections. He is also trained in the use of nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG).

Dr. Sharma was born and raised in Washington state. He received his bachelor’s in Chemistry at Vanderbilt University, and completed medical school at Des Moines University in Iowa. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, and his pain medicine fellowship at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.
